Holiday Luncheon 2023
Rocky Point Retirees invites you to join our organization of nearly 300 former employees of the Rocky Point Union Free School District.
Our organization includes in its membership retired teachers, administrators, custodians, secretaries, nurses, and para-professionals. The goal of the organization is to provide opportunities for continued contact among former Rocky Point colleagues. These opportunities include monthly breakfast get-togethers held at the Rocky Point Diner (Zona Out East) on the third Wednesday of each month at 9 AM. Before COVID, we have had first day school and holiday lunches and a summer lunch to accommodate our retiree snowbirds. The organization continues to consider old and explore new ways to bring its members together.
As a retiree, we want to share some important information about our retiree organization. We belong to NYSUT Retirement Council #22. If you choose to join Rocky Point Retirees, annual dues are only $25. Included in the dues will be your annual NYSUT membership of $5. This $5 keeps each of us connected to NYSUT member benefits. In addition to the NYSUT $5, the organization also collects $20 annually from each retiree. This money is used to fund two $1,000 scholarships the Association awards each June as well as other minor expenses such as petty cash for the four school nurses’ offices, stamps, stationary, etc.
